If you want to ensure keeping your assets safe, a good call is to keep your assets in a cold wallet
What is a cold wallet?
A cold wallet is a type of cryptocurrency wallet that securely stores your private crypto keys offline, usually on a physical device. 🚨 Be careful, if you lose your cold wallet, you could lose your assets. 🚨
How to keep safe my assets in this type of wallet?
First of all, you have to connect your cold wallet to your computer, in my case I use a Nano Ledger S. In this case, you must have downloaded their software.
Sending Arch tokens to a cold wallet
If you have your assets in any wallet and you want to send them to a cold wallet, you must follow these steps:
In Ledger Live you must go to the "Receive" section and select the Network you want. We always recommend Polygon for the gas fees.
Select "Continue" and choose the address you want to receive the tokens, accept that in your wallet device and copy the address.
With the address copy, go to the Arch platform, to the "Send & Receive" section. You must be connected to the wallet that you want to send assets.
Select the the token you want to send, the amount and most important, paste the address you copy in Ledger Live.
After that you must click the sent button. Its important that you must have the native token of the network that you are operating to pay the gas, in this case Polygon, so you must have Matic token.
Buying directly with Ledger
If you want to buy directly with a cold wallet, you must import your cold wallet to Metamask. For this you must follow these steps:
Go to Metamask and select the profile button and then click "Connect hardware wallet"
After that, select the hardware wallet and the model, in this case Ledger, a Nano S.
Then you must go to Arch and select the Metamask button to log in.
With these, you must follow the traditional process to buy your tokens. Go to the section "Trade" select the token you want to invest and follow the instructions.
